Catherine Wines is a native of Northeastern Nevada and was excited at the opportunity  to return home to Elko and open a practice after her schooling and architectural training were finished.

She has been a registered architect since October of 2008. Catherine studied architecture at both the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she received a bachelors degree in 1998, and at the University of Arizona where she completed a graduate degree in 2002. Catherine received many design awards and honors during her education.

r6studio is a full service architecture, planning and interior design firm owned by the limited liability company Catherine Wines, Architect.

Besides being a  full time architect Catherine is a strong advocate for the arts and is very active in the Elko community trying to educate and inform people of the importance of the arts. Catherine is a board member of the newly formed City of Elko Arts and Cultural Advisory Board and is a member of ACE (Arts Culture Elko). She also works part time at the Northeastern Nevada Museum as the Exhibits Coordinator and teaches Architectural History and Interior Design classes as part of the Museum's community Art Education Program.
